Quick answer
  • Community farming advice points toward silver and gold boss zones that your character can clear reliably.
  • Named-drop reports are leads, not guarantees; hundreds of failed runs do not establish a fixed pity threshold.
  • Keep comparing item level, useful bonuses and your current equipment instead of filtering only by rarity.

Where to start farming Legendary equipment

Deskrawl’s official store description makes Legendary loot part of the core progression loop. For a practical starting point, October players answering a low-drop question recommend silver and gold bosses rather than the stages between them. Treat that as community farming advice, not a promise that every boss run produces a Legendary.

Farming options reported by players
ApproachWhen it is usefulLimit
Repeat a boss you can clearYou need a steady supply of equipment candidatesA successful clear does not guarantee a specific rarity
Spend Soul Shards at the special town vendorYou want another equipment source while regular drops are slowThe exact current unlock and item odds are not established here
Follow a named item’s special-drop hintYou want a particular piece rather than any upgradeA listed or reported source is not a guaranteed number of runs

Players also describe salvaging Rare equipment for Soul Shards and using those shards at the special town vendor. Check which services your character has unlocked before saving for that route; a precise unlock level and current item odds are not confirmed here.

A named drop is still a chance

Bottomless Potion Belt is a useful example of the difference between a target and a guarantee. An October 4 player asked about the Tazan Wastes special-drop listing after a long dry streak; another replied that the belt had dropped there. The report supports trying the listed source, but neither player establishes a reliable probability or required number of attempts.

Use the same standard for other desired pieces: confirm the actual item name and the source shown in your game, then decide whether farming it is worth the time compared with an upgrade you can obtain elsewhere.

Keep upgrades, not just a colour

A higher-rarity item can still carry bonuses that do little for your setup. Read the unique effect, the level and the ordinary attributes together. Keep the piece if it advances the build you are playing or a build you deliberately want to try.

Do not let a strict filter preserve a weak old item indefinitely. One launch player reported progressing immediately after disabling uncommon auto-sell and replacing an old bow. That experience is a good reason to inspect a neglected weapon slot before waiting exclusively for its Legendary replacement.

Repeated names can be frustrating: one full-game player kept finding Reaper’s Pauldron and Crown of the Fallen King. Keep checking their actual bonuses rather than treating every duplicate as identical. Neither repeated names nor a run of gem drops proves that the equipment pool has been reduced.
