Deskrawl Trading Guide: Market, Items and Currencies

The official store describes trading equipment, materials and minions through the Steam Market. Deskrawl’s Auction House supplies a browsing shortcut: patch 1.0.0i added Buy Items and moved both Auction House buttons into Steam.

Think of the Auction House as the game-side place to start and Steam as the platform handling the market transaction. The current bag-to-Steam transfer sequence is not established here, so check the item’s own status before treating it as ready to list.

Use these as examples, then check your own copy. Steam’s sale selector only shows eligible items, so a public market page is not proof that the item in your inventory is ready to list. Its eligibility text is the next useful check.

Selling a Gold Bar to a merchant gives game gold according to its official patch description. Selling an eligible item through the Community Market is a Steam Wallet transaction. A tradable currency item does not make those balances interchangeable.

Market proceeds stay in Steam Wallet: Steam says they cannot be withdrawn to a bank or transferred to another Steam account. Check the total and fee quoted for your transaction. An asking price is only an offer, and it tells you neither that a sale will happen nor how quickly.

For a missing item, first decide which row describes the situation. An open buy order needs an order-status check; a recorded purchase needs a delivery check. Keeping those separate avoids buying twice while the first request is still being resolved.

Use the buying guide when you have picked an item and need to check its requirements, order and receipt. Use the selling guide when you are deciding whether to keep an item and want to follow a listing through to its outcome. If the interface rejects the action, start with Cannot Trade to separate the item from the account restriction.
